Well, after the long wait, the Accra Zoological Gardens has been move to Achimota hence the Achimota Ecological Park is its new name. The zoo lies 1700m deep within the Achimota Forest with poles mounted to direct people entering the zoo. Well, monitor lizards as well as snakes walk freely in the zoo but that does not mean they attack people using the pathway to the zoo. There are monkeys, crocodiles, lions, snakes, different species of birds, deers, antelopes etc all in the zoo. There are hopes to expand the zoo to include more animals. It is worth paying a visit to the zoo so to help management raise more money to help expand it.
